Nothing to maintain
You never set your status
Open an invite and you're Hosting. Tap Coming and you're Joining. Close the app and you drift Offline. There is no status picker anywhere in KapeTayo.
Invites end themselves
Every invite carries the time it stops. When that time passes it disappears, and everyone's status goes back on its own. No cleanup, no stale “still at the cafe” from Tuesday.
Different circle, different you
Status is worked out per circle. Hosting coffee with your barkada leaves you merely Online to your workmates — they don't see where you are or who you're with.
Four states, readable at a glance
You’ll read this list while walking, one-handed, in sunlight. So the four states are told apart by shape and weight first — the ring, the mark, the pill — and by colour only as a reminder. Screenshot this page in greyscale and it still reads.
- Hosting
Opened an invite. Full ring, filled centre.
- Joining
Said they're coming to someone's invite. Half ring, half-filled mark.
- Online
Opened the app in the last two minutes. No ring, a dot.
- Offline
Hasn't looked lately. No ring, no dot.
How it goes
Make a circle, send the link
One reusable link per circle. Drop it in the group chat. Regenerating the link is how you revoke it.
Someone opens an invite
A place and a window of time. Everyone else gets an email and sees it the next time they look.
People say if they're coming
That's the whole thing. No thread, no planning, no one chasing replies.
